Each of the Graphic Guides is designed to lead a group through a specific process to achieve tangible results. Working on large templates allows a group to focus attention on the big picture while stimulating participation and alignment.




Leader's Guides
Each Graphic Guide has a corresponding Leader's Guide providing step-by-step instructions for using the template. Once you select a Graphic Guide from our online store, look for "Associated Leader's Guide" on the right side of the page.




Digital Graphic Guides
These Microsoft® Powerpoint® versions of our twenty Graphic Guides can be used to prepare for meetings, run virtual sessions or to capture and distribute output created in face-to-face meetings.

The Personal Compass
The Grove took the success of its Strategic Visioning process for groups and translated it into a Personal Visioning toolkit.

The Personal Compass is a visual-planning workbook consisting of seven graphic templates with easy-to-follow guidelines. With activities to support imagination and analysis, The Personal Compass allows you to review your past, take stock of your present, and imagine and plan your future.


The Career Compass
The Career Compass combines The Grove’s award-winning visual-planning methodology with approaches and techniques used by professional career counselors. Whether you are just entering the job market or making a transition, The Career Compass can help you see the big picture and make informed decisions about your career path.


How the two workbooks differ

The Personal Compass is designed to guide you through an introspective journey. Most, if not all, of the information individuals fill in the templates comes from what is already in their heads. The result of completing The Personal Compass is a deeper sense of life’s purpose and a plan for the future.

The Career Compass focuses on work, while still giving users a big-picture view of their career in the context of their whole life. Since career-planning involves research, a large portion of The Career Compass helps you organize information that you gather through external sources, such as internet searches, networking and informational interviews. The result of completing The Career Compass is often determining a new career direction; be it a new job, a new position or the decision to get additional education. One client put it this way, “The Personal Compass is for your heart, The Career Compass is for your head.”

A flexible system of templates

Counselors and coaches like the flexibility of both tools. Many choose certain parts of the process from either workbook to use in their practice.
